Senior Software Engineer

About the role

FinErak builds modern fintech solutions that turn complex financial data into actionable insights. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our core engineering team. You will design, architect, and deliver scalable, high‑throughput financial services while setting technical standards.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement low‑latency microservices and RESTful APIs with Java 17+/21 and Spring Boot.
• Build scalable data pipelines for financial calculations, valuation models, and real‑time reporting.
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and use Redis caching for high‑performance data access.
• Containerize applications with Docker and Kubernetes, and configure CI/CD pipelines on AWS or GCP.
• Ensure code quality through reviews, automated unit/integration tests, and mentor junior engineers.
• Collaborate with product managers, analysts, and frontend teams to translate requirements into clean architecture.

Required profile

• 6+ years of backend engineering experience building enterprise‑grade applications.
• Deep expertise in Java (17/21) and Spring ecosystem (Boot, Security, Data JPA).
• Strong PostgreSQL skills, complex SQL, indexing, and transaction management.
• Experience with microservices, REST APIs, DDD, and messaging (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI), and cloud services (AWS or GCP).
• Proficiency in testing frameworks such as JUnit 5, Mockito, and Testcontainers.
• Solid understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Fluent English communication for documentation and collaboration.
