SEO Content Editor and Publisher

About the role

The Business Rover is looking for a detail-oriented SEO Content Editor and Publisher. You will edit, publish, maintain and optimise content so that it is high quality, consistent and performs well on search engines across all platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Proofread and edit content for clarity, accuracy, grammar, spelling, punctuation and style consistency.
• Ensure content matches brand voice, editorial guidelines and SEO best practices.
• Fact-check information and sources.
• Review, edit and approve writer content and give constructive feedback.
• Maintain editorial standards across all content outputs.
• Publish and format content in the CMS (e.g. WordPress), with correct structure, readability and visual consistency.
• Optimise on-page SEO elements: titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal links, URLs and image alt text.
• Schedule content according to editorial calendars and run final QA checks before and after publishing.
• Research industry trends, competitors and keywords to support content strategy.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align content with marketing and business goals.

Required profile

• Proven experience in content editing, publishing or editorial management, preferably in a digital or SEO-focused environment.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills, able to handle several projects at once.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Adaptable and willing to learn new tools, trends and processes.

Required skills

• Solid understanding of SEO principles and on-page optimisation.
• Hands-on experience with CMS such as WordPress.
• Familiarity with SEO and analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Ahrefs, SEMrush or Moz.
• Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills.
