Accountant

About the role

MSALABS is seeking an experienced Accountant to support the Finance Manager and Regional Managers. The role involves coordinating finance and accounting processes, ensuring accurate reporting, and maintaining ERP data for a global geochemical laboratory services provider.

Key responsibilities

• Compile monthly cash plans, profit and loss reports, and balance‑sheet information.
• Coordinate with outsourced accounting service provider for tax returns, statutory reports, and IFRS reporting.
• Prepare weekly accounts receivable reports and manage supplier invoice workflow in the Group ERP system.
• Maintain fixed‑asset records, petty‑cash documentation, and support auditors during audits.
• Assist in budget, forecast, and cost‑review analysis, providing variance explanations to senior management.
• Ensure data accuracy and compliance with Group policies across ERP, revenue, and intercompany reconciliations.

Required profile

• Partly or fully qualified ACCA or equivalent degree.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting/finance experience, including at least 2 years in mining or manufacturing.
• Experience in a senior accounting role and working with multinational enterprises.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of ERP systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle, Pronto, Sun).
• Proficiency in preparing statutory reports, tax filings, and IFRS documentation.
• Ability to manage cash planning, revenue reconciliation, and intercompany postings.
