Art Director – Mobile Casual Free-to-Play Games

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Art Director to shape and elevate the visual identity of a premium mobile free‑to‑play game built on a globally recognised entertainment IP. This hands‑on leadership position requires strong visual judgment and deep experience in mobile casual/F2P titles.

Key responsibilities

• Own and evolve the overall art direction and visual identity across 2D, 3D, UI, characters, environments, animation, VFX, lighting and gameplay presentation.
• Maintain a high visual bar while ensuring the game remains accessible and readable as a premium casual title.
• Review the game holistically, identify generic or inconsistent elements, and drive stronger visual solutions.
• Provide clear, actionable feedback through art reviews, paint‑overs, mock‑ups and reference boards.
• Directly manage and mentor a small multidisciplinary art team, setting expectations, priorities and quality standards.
• Partner with Production, Creative Direction, Game Design, UX, Product, Engineering and other stakeholders to align art priorities and delivery.
• Guide VFX and animation toward a coherent language that enhances anticipation, impact and celebration.
• Translate IP and brand pillars into a modern mobile‑game visual identity and participate in recruiting and hiring.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an Art Director or senior visual lead on mobile casual/F2P games.
• Exceptional visual judgment and the ability to evaluate the entire game experience on screen.
• Hands‑on creative leadership with a track record of raising visual quality.
• Comfort with AI‑assisted creative workflows to accelerate iteration.
