Business Consultant - Deal Advisory

About the role

BDO Armenia's Deal Advisory practice advises clients on transactions from the business case and feasibility stage, through due diligence and valuation, to closing the deal and raising finance. As a Consultant you will be a core team member delivering analysis, modelling and research under the guidance of a Project Manager, helping draft client-facing work and working on several types of deals.

Key responsibilities

• Build and review valuation models (DCF, market multiples, net asset) and support fair value measurement, purchase price allocation and impairment testing
• Analyse historical and forecast financial performance for financial due diligence (quality of earnings, normalised EBITDA, working capital, net debt, cash flow)
• Support commercial due diligence, market assessments, business plans, feasibility studies and investment cases
• Help prepare teasers, information memoranda, buyer and target lists and financial models for buy-side, sell-side and debt or equity raising mandates
• Support data rooms, Q&A logs and transaction timelines
• Draft report and presentation sections in English and Armenian, take part in client meetings and site visits, and use digital and AI tools to speed up analysis

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting or a related field
• 2-4 years of experience in transaction advisory, valuation, corporate finance, investment banking or a similar finance role
• Strong understanding of financial statements and how the three statements link together
• Fluent written and spoken English and Armenian
• Nice to have: CFA, CIMA or valuation qualification, experience in financial services, TMT, energy or consumer sectors, Russian, ESG due diligence exposure, Power BI, Python

Required skills

• Advanced Excel, including building financial models from scratch
• Good PowerPoint skills
• Valuation and financial modelling
