Compliance Officer – Regulatory & Risk Management

About the role

SoftConstruct is looking for a proactive Compliance Officer to join its team and ensure the company meets all regulatory obligations across EU markets. You will work closely with operational, product, and support teams to embed compliance into daily processes and new releases.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor, analyse and interpret regulatory developments, especially in EU jurisdictions.
• Identify compliance gaps and vulnerabilities, and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain AML, Responsible Gambling, Data Protection, and Licensing manuals and conduct risk‑based audits.
• Prepare and present compliance assessments, regulatory reports, and monthly website/social media compliance reviews to senior management and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with operational teams to implement and test compliance policies.
• Assist the Deputy Head of Compliance in delivering training across all operational areas.
• Support development teams with compliance features for new products.
• Oversee flagged client reviews for AML and Responsible Gambling concerns.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Management or a related field.
• Proven experience in compliance, regulatory affairs or risk management.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and thrive in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Familiarity with task‑management systems (a plus).
• Knowledge of ethical hacking (advantage).
• Compliance certifications such as CCEP, CRCM or CAMS (advantage).
