Electronics Hardware & Embedded Firmware Engineer

About the role

An experienced Electronics Hardware & Embedded Firmware Engineer is sought to join an engineering team in Aragatsotn, Armenia. The role covers the complete development cycle of custom electronic hardware and embedded firmware for robotic systems and industrial applications, from hardware architecture and PCB design through firmware development, prototype testing and production readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Design electronic circuits, schematics and multilayer PCBs, and develop custom control boards, power distribution boards and interface modules
• Select components and prepare Bills of Materials (BOMs); design circuits for power management, motor control, sensor integration and communication interfaces
• Ensure proper grounding, signal integrity, EMI/EMC considerations and electrical protection; prepare Gerber files, manufacturing documentation and assembly instructions
• Perform PCB bring-up, testing, debugging and hardware revisions
• Develop embedded firmware for STM32, ESP32 and other microcontrollers in C/C++, covering motor control, sensor acquisition, actuator control and power management
• Implement communication protocols such as CAN Bus, UART, SPI, I2C, RS485 and Modbus, plus bootloaders and firmware update mechanisms
• Integrate control boards with motors, ESCs, encoders, sensors and actuators, and interface hardware with Linux-based computers such as NVIDIA Jetson and Raspberry Pi
• Diagnose electrical, communication and firmware issues, develop test procedures, work with PCB manufacturers and assembly partners, and maintain schematics, firmware repositories and revision history
