Gateway Database Administrator

About the role

We are looking for a Gateway Database Administrator to manage, support, upgrade and monitor the database environments that power CQG applications and related infrastructure. The role ensures database integrity, security and high availability while collaborating with development and operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor MS SQL transactional replication, SQL job executions and take corrective actions when issues arise.
• Maintain and monitor database systems for optimal performance and 24/7 availability.
• Design, test and implement disaster recovery, backup and restore strategies, standards and scripts.
• Maintain and improve reporting and business‑intelligence solutions (SSRS, SSIS).
• Enforce corporate database security policies across all environments.
• Manage hardware requirements for production systems and troubleshoot related network or application problems.
• Execute regular deployments of schema and data changes to production databases after testing.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience in SQL Server database administration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Experience with high‑transaction volume databases in a fast‑paced production environment.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and good communication skills in English.
