Group Financial Controller

About the role

Pragmatike is recruiting for a European deep‑tech company building an AI‑native finance organisation. The Group Financial Controller will own and scale group accounting, consolidation, reporting and controls across multiple legal entities, reporting directly to the CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly, quarterly and annual group close and consolidation processes across all entities.
• Deliver accurate management accounts, board and investor reporting while ensuring IFRS and local GAAP compliance.
• Define, document and enforce group accounting policies and internal controls.
• Lead, optimise and scale the NetSuite ERP across the group.
• Drive automation and AI adoption in accounting operations, including reconciliations, anomaly detection, journal automation and close acceleration.
• Manage audits, statutory filings, intercompany accounting and transfer pricing processes.

Required profile

• 8–12+ years of experience in accounting, financial control or senior finance roles, preferably in SaaS, cloud or deep‑tech environments.
• Qualified accountant (CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent) with strong knowledge of IFRS and/or local GAAP.
• Proven experience operating in multi‑entity, international settings and building finance infrastructure from the ground up.
• Comfortable in fast‑paced, high‑growth environments with high ownership.

Required skills

• Expert‑level experience with NetSuite ERP.
• Hands‑on implementation of AI tools in accounting workflows.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP.
• Consolidation expertise across multiple jurisdictions.
