Head of Internal Audit

About the role

SoftConstruct is seeking a dynamic leader to head its Internal Audit function. The successful candidate will oversee risk assessment, audit planning, and ensure compliance across financial and operational processes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement audit plans, assessing risks and monitoring ongoing operations.
• Conduct financial and operational audits, reviewing accounting records, invoices, contracts, and procedures.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, identify fraud prevention opportunities, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive audit reports with root‑cause analysis, practical solutions, and recommendations for management.
• Inform senior management of significant risks and coordinate follow‑up actions to address audit findings.
• Lead investigations into potential financial leakages or suspected fraud.
• Participate in staff development, knowledge sharing, and other departmental activities.

Required profile

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of audit or finance experience, including managerial responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted auditing standards, risk assessment methodologies, and accounting principles.
• Excellent understanding of applicable tax and labor legislation.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate data from multiple sources.
• Fluent in Armenian; good written and verbal English and Russian.
• High organizational skills, responsibility, and effective time management.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with accounting software such as ArmSoft.
