Hotel Maintenance Technician

About the role

Marriott Hotels & Resorts is hiring a maintenance technician at its Tsaghadzor resort. The role covers responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, and keeping the property running smoothly while following safety and service standards.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve guest repair requests, communicating clearly with guests and customers
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools, kitchen and mechanical room equipment, including cleaning and lubrication, and visually inspect tools, equipment and machines
• Identify, locate and operate shut-off valves and utility shut-offs, and maintain maintenance inventory and requisition parts and supplies
• Communicate daily activities and problems to other shifts using approved communication programs
• Perform surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood trim repair, and clean up after painting or repair work
• Test, troubleshoot and repair equipment, plumbing (plunge toilets, unclog drains), electrical components, lamps, switches and outlets, and guestroom items
• Program TVs, do general housekeeping and engineering-related inventory, and use the Lockout/Tagout system before working
• Repair interior and exterior landscaping and sprinklers, and enter air handler schedules and make temperature changes on a computer
• Follow safety and security policies, report hazards and accidents, complete safety training, and store flammable materials properly
• Welcome guests, assist people with disabilities and maintain professional appearance and confidentiality

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
• Some experience in general maintenance, surface preparation and painting
• Driver's license
• No supervisory experience required
• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds alone, climb stairs and ladders, and reach overhead and below the knees

Preferred: experience in hotel engineering or maintenance.
