Internal Auditor

About the role

We are seeking an objective and experienced Internal Auditor to join our Yerevan team. You will periodically examine the organization’s financial records, ensure compliance with standards and regulations, and identify opportunities to eliminate waste and fraud.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute financial audits, defining scope, objectives and audit programs based on organizational risk areas.
• Examine financial statements, account books, ledgers and accounting systems for accuracy, timeliness and regulatory compliance.
• Test general ledger, account balances, balance sheets and income statements, and analyze related documentation.
• Assess compliance with financial regulations, internal controls and identify non‑compliance, process weaknesses and inefficiencies.
• Provide best‑practice recommendations to management and verify assets and liabilities against documentation.
• Prepare audit findings memorandums, final reports and communicate progress in status meetings.
• Maintain confidentiality to protect the organization’s reputation.
• Stay current with professional knowledge through education, publications and networking.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• More than 3 years of experience as a Financial Auditor, Analyst or Officer.
• Experience with international auditing firms or ACCA qualification is a plus.
• Knowledge of tax legislation and IFRS.
• Fluency in Armenian, English and Russian.
• Strong analytical judgment and business mindset.

Required skills

• Advanced MS Office proficiency.
• Working knowledge of 1C accounting software.
• Familiarity with Armsoft program.
• Moderate skills with accounting databases.
