Lead Auditor

About the role

ARMECONOMBANK OJSC is seeking an experienced Lead Auditor to join its Internal Audit Department. The role involves planning, executing, and concluding risk‑based inspections across the bank’s units while adhering to international audit standards.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and implement risk‑based audit engagements for structural and territorial units.
• Identify, assess, and support mitigation of operational and financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with internal regulations governing the Internal Audit Department.
• Monitor adherence to minimum internal control requirements.
• Conduct periodic analyses of inherent bank risks.
• Perform additional tasks assigned by the Head of Department.
• Travel to regional branches in the Republic of Armenia as needed.

Required profile

• Knowledge of international internal audit standards and Armenian banking legislation.
• Analytical thinking with strong risk‑identification and assessment abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• High ethical standards, effective communication, and teamwork skills.
• Holding a CIA or ACCA qualification is advantageous.
• Higher education in Audit, Finance, Risk Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years professional experience in the financial sector.
