Lead Auditor

About the role

The Lead Auditor will coordinate risk‑based audit engagements across the bank’s structural and territorial units, ensuring that internal control standards are met and risks are identified, assessed and mitigated. The role involves regular interaction with branch offices, preparation of risk analyses, and occasional travel to regional branches.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute risk‑based inspections, identifying and assessing risks in the bank’s operations.
• Support processes aimed at risk mitigation and ensure compliance with internal audit regulations.
• Monitor implementation of minimum internal control requirements across units.
• Conduct periodic analyses of inherent risks and report findings to senior management.
• Travel to regional branches in the Republic of Armenia as needed to perform audits.

Required profile

• Higher professional education in Audit, Finance, Risk Management or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in the financial sector.
• Proficiency in Armenian and English (excellent) and Russian (good).
• Knowledge of international internal audit standards and Armenian banking regulations; CIA or ACCA certification is a plus.
