Procurement Specialist

About the role

Sumsub is seeking a Procurement Specialist to own the contract approval flow and financial review process, ensuring cost‑effective vendor agreements and minimizing hidden financial risks. You will analyze overall spend, identify overpayments, and support teams across Marketing, Product, and IT.

Key responsibilities

• Review vendor contracts for financial risks such as payment terms, auto‑renewals, price indexation, penalties, minimum commitments, termination terms, and currency exposure.
• Negotiate financial terms to secure discounts, better pricing, extended payment terms, and flexible conditions.
• Maintain short turnaround times within the existing approval flow to avoid slowing down internal teams.
• Analyze company spend by category, identify duplicate tools, unused subscriptions, and cost‑optimization opportunities.
• Track contract expiry dates and prepare for renewals and renegotiations in advance.
• Suggest improvements to the approval flow, procurement policy, and spend thresholds.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Economics or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or financial control.
• Strong analytical skills with confidence working with data and building comparison models.
• Ability to read contracts and spot non‑obvious financial risks.
• Proven negotiation experience delivering cost savings.
• Upper‑Intermediate English or higher; all contracts and negotiations are in English.
• Experience with international vendors across multiple currencies and jurisdictions.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel or Google Sheets (pivot tables, complex formulas, financial models).
• Experience with NetSuite.
• Experience with DocuSign.
• Experience with Jira or similar systems.
• Use of LLMs and AI tools to speed up contract review, spend analysis, and reporting.
