Senior Data Engineer

About the role

Tabby is a fast‑scaling fintech unicorn that enables shoppers to split payments with no interest or fees. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the Data Services Team and help build internal solutions such as a Feature Store while handling operational tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Develop a Feature Store and future data services.
• Design, build, and maintain EL/ELT/ETL pipelines.
• Integrate new tools for data processing and storage.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience as a Data Engineer, ML Engineer or Backend Engineer.
• Proven ability to develop high‑load, scalable data processing and storage systems.
• Strong background in event‑driven systems and streaming pipelines.

Required skills

• Python (best practices) and SQL (best practices).
• Airflow, Debezium, BigQuery, ClickHouse, PostgreSQL, CockroachDB.
• Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Google Cloud Platform.
• REST API, gRPC API, message brokers and queues.
• Go programming language.
• Experience with relational, MPP and NoSQL data stores.
