Senior NOC Engineer

About the role

The Senior NOC Engineer will monitor and maintain SMS and telecom infrastructure, ensuring continuous service availability and fast incident resolution. You will work closely with technical, commercial, and vendor teams to optimise routing performance and network reliability.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor SMS traffic, routing performance and overall network health in real time.
• Detect, investigate and resolve delivery failures, latency and routing issues.
• Analyse logs, alarms and alerts to identify root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Respond to incidents, escalating to internal teams or suppliers as needed.
• Troubleshoot SMS routing, SMPP connections and telecom integrations.
• Collaborate with vendors, operators and aggregators during outages or performance degradation.
• Support configuration changes, system upgrades and deployment activities.
• Maintain documentation, incident reports and operational procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of monitoring tools, routing strategies and network reliability.
• Coordinate technical setup of new interconnections (SMPP, SIP, SS7, VPN, etc.).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in NOC, telecom or messaging environments.
• Hands‑on experience with A2P SMS infrastructure and telecom networks.
• Strong understanding of SMPP, TCP/IP and SIP/RTP fundamentals.
