Senior Python Test Automation Engineer

About the role

Join EPAM's cryptocurrency project as a Senior Python Test Automation Engineer. You will design and maintain automated tests for user‑facing and back‑office applications, leveraging Python and AI‑assisted tools to improve quality and delivery speed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated UI and API tests using Python, Pytest, and the Page Object Model.
• Analyze evolving requirements, identify gaps, and translate them into testable scenarios.
• Extend test coverage to functional and non‑functional areas, including performance testing.
• Improve existing automation frameworks, test strategies, and QA processes.
• Collaborate with client and engineering teams to establish effective QA practices.
• Work with relational databases (SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL) via programmatic connections.
• Investigate defects, contribute to root‑cause analysis, and apply AI‑assisted approaches to test design and documentation.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience with Python, Pytest, Pydantic, and Requests.
• Solid experience in UI automation (Page Object Model, CSS selectors, XPath) and REST API testing.
• Practical experience with LLMs and AI‑assisted development tools, understanding their capabilities and limitations.
• Ability to break down complex tasks into structured steps for AI‑assisted workflows.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
