Storekeeper

About the role

The Storekeeper is responsible for receiving, staging, and managing merchandise across hotel departments, ensuring proper storage, rotation, and compliance with food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Receive and stage merchandise, mark for placement, and deliver to appropriate departments.
• Stack received items on pallets or carts and complete requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
• Monitor stock levels, notify supervisors of low inventory, and maintain accurate records.
• Inspect deliveries for freshness, cleanliness, and quality; reject damaged or incorrect items.
• Store perishables properly, rotate stock, and ensure food safety compliance.
• Organize, clean, and sanitize refrigerators, freezers, floors, equipment, and drains.
• Remove empty pallets, cardboard, and trash, placing them in designated storage areas.
• Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete required safety training.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• No prior related work experience required.
• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods and lift objects up to 50 lb.
• Capability to work in narrow, confined, elevated, or slippery spaces.
• Professional appearance, confidentiality, and adherence to company policies.

Required skills

• Basic reading and visual verification of information in various formats.
• Fine motor skills and hand‑eye coordination for handling objects of varying size and weight.
