Engineering Manager – Language Security (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead TuxCare’s Language Security Research function. You will own four language‑focused teams (Java, JavaScript/Go, Python and PHP) and drive the delivery of security patches for end‑of‑life and active language runtimes.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and develop four engineering teams (≈18 engineers) across Java, JavaScript/Go, Python and PHP.
• Define hiring plans, conduct performance reviews and support career development.
• Set technical direction and enforce standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting and security releases.
• Drive consistency in tooling, CI/CD pipelines and release processes across all language ecosystems.
• Evaluate and guide AI‑assisted automation for backporting and vulnerability discovery.
• Own SLA compliance, align delivery with client expectations and continuously improve development workflows.
• Coordinate documentation and ensure smooth interaction with OS, Docker and platform teams.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years of hands‑on software development experience across multiple language ecosystems.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of security vulnerability lifecycle and patch delivery.
