Chief Accountant – Finance Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead our finance function in Yerevan. You will oversee tax accounting, IFRS reporting, and a team of three accounting professionals while acting as the primary liaison between local operations and corporate finance.

Key responsibilities

• Organise and manage in‑house tax accounting and IFRS financial reporting in line with Armenian legislation.
• Lead a team of three accountants handling payroll, fixed assets, AR/AP, and expense reporting.
• Ensure accurate transaction recording in the 1C accounting system and compliance with tax regulations.
• Oversee preparation of annual financial statements, statistical reports, withholding tax, VAT, and import/export documentation.
• Manage payroll calculations, SOX controls, and payroll reconciliation reports.
• Represent the company during tax inspections and audits, providing required documentation.
• Collaborate with corporate US GAAP reporting, payroll, and compliance teams.
• Drive automation and digitalisation of accounting and payroll processes.
• Develop and update local accounting policies and improve internal workflows.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics.
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, including managerial responsibilities.
• Valid Armenian accountant/auditor certification.
• Strong knowledge of Armenian tax legislation and IFRS.
• Proven experience leading accounting teams.
• Advanced Excel proficiency and strong analytical abilities.
