Senior Accountant

About the role

SoftConstruct is seeking a senior‑level accountant to lead the recording, reporting and control of its financial operations. The role blends daily transaction processing with strategic oversight of month‑end, year‑end and tax compliance, ensuring accuracy and regulatory adherence.

Key responsibilities

• Record complex daily financial transactions in strict compliance with IFRS and Armenian regulations.
• Prepare, review and sign off monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements with executive‑level accuracy.
• Drive month‑end and year‑end closing processes, implementing measures to shorten closing cycles.
• Oversee the preparation and filing of federal, state and local tax returns, including VAT and income tax, ensuring zero‑penalty compliance.
• Evaluate and strengthen internal control processes and accounting policies to protect company assets.
• Supervise accounts receivable and payable workflows, optimizing cash flow and vendor relationships.
• Develop revenue projections and expenditure forecasts; lead budget monitoring and fiscal planning.
• Conduct variance analysis and present strategic risk assessments to senior management.
• Act as primary liaison for internal and external audits, resolving findings and delivering clean audit reports.
• Lead automation initiatives for accounting systems and procedures to boost departmental efficiency.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• Master’s degree or professional certification (ACCA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting, accounting or auditing.
• Fluency in Armenian and English.
• Proven experience in a senior role within a multinational or large corporate finance environment.
• Strong knowledge of the Armenian Tax Code and Labour Code.
• Excellent communication, leadership and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with high attention to detail.
