Senior BI Analyst

About the role

Equiti, a fintech firm, is looking for a Senior BI Analyst to join its Data department in Yerevan. The role focuses on designing, building and maintaining Power BI solutions that support the company’s multi‑asset trading platforms and finance reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards and datasets using certified gold semantic models.
• Migrate legacy reports to the gold model, automate recurring manual reporting and retire duplicated reports.
• Maintain and adapt data models to evolving business requirements while adhering to Group modelling and DAX standards.
• Enable business self‑service reporting, analytics and dashboarding across global offices.
• Validate outputs against certified definitions, troubleshoot issues and ensure data quality.
• Apply AI‑assisted development tools (LLM‑assisted DAX, M, SQL, Copilot) and automated data‑quality checks.
• Optimize performance of models and reports (query folding, incremental refresh, aggregations).
• Provide technical consultation and documentation for stakeholders.
• Contribute to BI team best practices, reusable patterns and onboarding of new entities.

Required profile

• 4+ years of commercial experience in BI development or analytics.
• Strong command of the Microsoft Power BI stack with advanced DAX and Power Query/M skills.
• Experience delivering data visualisations for executive and operational audiences.
• Rigorous validation habits and ability to reconcile reports against certified definitions.
• Clear communication with non‑technical stakeholders across time zones.
• Self‑starter comfortable using AI coding assistants productively.
