Senior C#/.NET Engineer

About the role

SoftConstruct is looking for a senior C#/.NET Engineer to design, develop and maintain high‑performance backend services. You will lead architectural decisions and work closely with product owners, QA, DevOps and fellow developers.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain backend services using C# and .NET 6/7.
• Lead architectural decisions, ensure code quality and secure coding standards.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, efficient software.
• Implement APIs, microservices and backend systems for high‑load environments.
• Perform code reviews, drive SDLC improvements and CI/CD integration.
• Work with SQL Server, PostgreSQL or NoSQL databases and optimise data processing.
• Diagnose and resolve complex production issues.
• Mentor junior and mid‑level developers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience with C# and .NET technologies.
• Strong understanding of OOP, design patterns, SOLID principles and clean architecture.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.

Required skills

• C# and .NET ecosystem (Core, ASP.NET Core, Entity Framework).
• RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
• Message brokers such as RabbitMQ, Kafka or Azure Service Bus.
• Database management (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, NoSQL).
• Unit and integration testing frameworks (xUnit, NUnit, Moq).
• Version control with Git and CI/CD pipelines.
• Agile/Scrum collaboration.
