Senior Machine Learning Engineer

About the role

SoftConstruct is looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join its AI Center of Excellence. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of end‑to‑end AI solutions, working closely with cross‑functional teams to turn ideas into production‑ready models.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and pipelines that address complex business problems.
• Apply expertise in machine learning, optimization, and software engineering to create scalable AI solutions.
• Collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to integrate ML models into production systems.
• Guide and mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices, and assist in recruiting technical talent.
• Build and optimise data pipelines, ETL processes, and model‑serving frameworks.
• Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage machine learning.
• Monitor, debug, and improve model performance and reliability in production environments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or a related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 5+ years of hands‑on experience building and deploying machine learning models in production.
• Strong software engineering skills with proficiency in Python and version control (Git).
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
