Back-End Engineer

About the role

Wirestock is seeking a Back-End Engineer to build and maintain scalable backend services that power its AI‑focused data platform. You will work with C#/.NET, design event‑driven microservices, and manage AWS infrastructure using CDK.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high‑performance backend services in C# and .NET.
• Architect and implement event‑driven microservices using RabbitMQ.
• Manage AWS resources (EC2, EKS, RDS) through AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Design secure, scalable RESTful APIs following OOP, SOLID, Clean Architecture and DDD principles.
• Optimize SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases for reliability and speed.
• Deploy containerized applications with Docker and Kubernetes and automate pipelines with GitLab CI.
• Monitor system health using Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch and troubleshoot performance bottlenecks.
• Write unit, integration and end‑to‑end tests and ensure code quality.
• Lead, mentor and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver projects.

Required profile

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience focused on backend development.
• Strong expertise in C# and building scalable applications.
• Proven experience with microservices and event‑driven architectures (RabbitMQ or similar).
• Deep understanding of OOP, SOLID principles, design patterns and Domain‑Driven Design.
• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code using AWS CDK or Terraform.
• Proficiency in asynchronous programming and RESTful API design.
• Solid experience with relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (DynamoDB, MongoDB) databases.
• Demonstrated problem‑solving and performance‑optimization skills.
• Experience mentoring and leading development teams.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
