Backend Engineer – Golang

About the role

Sensor Tower’s digital intelligence platform processes tens of terabytes of data to deliver market insights for thousands of customers. The team is looking for a curious, motivated backend engineer who wants to grow while building fast, reliable systems that make data easy to access and understand.

Key responsibilities

• Improve and build new features for the AppMagic SaaS platform targeting SMBs.
• Participate in the full development lifecycle: design, implementation, testing, polishing and release.
• Work on tasks such as parsing, data aggregation, API design, refactoring and performance optimisation.
• Create and optimise complex database queries for analysis and modification.
• Perform code reviews and suggest improvements to tools and processes.

Required profile

• At least 3 years of professional Go development experience (or strong open‑source contributions).
• Strong SQL expertise with PostgreSQL and ClickHouse, knowing when to use an ORM versus raw SQL.
• Commitment to writing testable, high‑quality code.
• Ability to view the product from the user’s perspective and drive product excellence.
• Proactive curiosity and a drive to understand the value of a project before coding.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.
• Fluent in both Russian and English for technical interviews.
• Hands‑on, thoughtful use of AI tools in development.
