Business Analyst

About the role

Buildern is the #1 Construction Management Platform that helps residential and commercial builders manage projects from estimating to financials in one place. We’re looking for an experienced Business Analyst to transform business needs into clear, detailed, implementation‑ready requirements and collaborate with product, engineering, design, QA, customer success, sales, and customers.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and analyze business requirements from stakeholders, conduct customer interviews, and research competitor products and industry best practices.
• Own the quality and completeness of requirements, translate them into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and support engineering teams throughout development.
• Document current and future‑state processes, identify risks, edge cases, and dependencies, and lead backlog refinement to ensure stories are ready for sprint planning.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, Systems Analyst, Product Owner, or similar role within a B2B SaaS company.
• Strong analytical, critical‑thinking, systems‑thinking, and stakeholder‑management abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Figma, Lucidchart, and Miro.
• Regular use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or Cursor to improve productivity and documentation.
• Basic SQL or data‑analysis knowledge.
