Junior IT Systems Administrator

About the role

Questrade Financial Group is seeking a Junior IT Systems Administrator to support its diverse IT and cloud infrastructure. Working under senior team members, you will help maintain Linux and Windows environments, ensuring system availability and alignment with corporate policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with support and maintenance of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Windows Server 2016+ systems using tools such as Satellite, SCCM, Jenkins, Salt, and Ansible.
• Support Active Directory, Azure AD, IIS, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and replication tasks.
• Create and maintain project and procedure documentation.
• Participate in occasional after‑hours or weekend activities for server updates and technical support, guided by senior staff.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience in a server/systems environment with exposure to Linux, Windows, and/or VMware ESXi.
• Basic hands‑on experience with at least one cloud provider (Google Cloud preferred).
• Working knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Fundamental networking knowledge and ability to follow documented procedures.
