Programme Analyst – Gender Equality (UN Women, Armenia)

About the role

UN Women is seeking a Programme Analyst to support the EU4GE Phase III programme in Armenia. The analyst will work under the Programme Specialist in Yerevan and the Country Representative for the South Caucasus, providing technical and programmatic assistance to advance gender‑responsive governance, combat gender‑based violence and promote women’s economic empowerment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation, coordination and monitoring of the EU4GE Phase III activities across Armenia.
• Prepare and submit regular programme reports, data analyses and performance indicators.
• Support national institutions and civil‑society partners in strengthening gender‑responsive legislation, policies and institutional capacities.
• Facilitate community engagement initiatives that challenge gender stereotypes and discriminatory norms.
• Contribute to the design and delivery of strategic communications, private‑sector partnerships and capacity‑building workshops.
• Collaborate with public authorities, NGOs, academia, media and youth networks to ensure coherent programme delivery.

Required profile

• University degree in gender studies, social sciences, international development or a related field.
• Relevant experience in programme management, monitoring and evaluation, and gender‑equality initiatives.
• Fluency in English and Armenian; familiarity with the UN system and EU‑funded programmes is an advantage.
• Strong analytical, writing and reporting skills.

• Data analysis and visualization.
• Monitoring and evaluation tools and methodologies.
