Quant Trader / Derivatives Desk Analyst

About the role

Aktina Capital is building a derivatives desk within a leading asset‑management and trading firm. The team works across OTC and exchange‑traded derivatives, covering options, exotic structures, equities, fixed income and crypto in international markets. This is a small, high‑calibre group where ideas are implemented quickly and impact is visible from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Support and execute daily trading operations across OTC and exchange‑traded derivatives.
• Develop and maintain Python tools for exotic‑option pricing, P&L calculation and market‑data workflows.
• Participate in structuring and trading activities across options, equities, fixed income and crypto.
• Maintain trade blotters, trade records and deal documentation.
• Proactively improve desk processes, controls and workflows.

Required profile

• Degree in mathematics, physics, computer science, engineering or a related quantitative field (recent graduates welcome).
• Strong Python programming skills; SQL and VBA are a plus.
• Advanced Excel proficiency.
• Genuine curiosity about derivatives pricing models, Greeks and market risk.
• Fluent written and spoken English; knowledge of Russian or Armenian is an advantage.
• Ability to take ownership, move projects forward and deliver with minimal supervision.
