Banking Relations & Compliance Specialist (Freelance, Part‑Time)

About the role

This freelance, part‑time position focuses on managing the company's banking relationships, especially with Armenian banks, and ensuring compliance with KYC/KYB, AML/CFT and sanctions requirements for international transfers.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop relationships with Armenian banks and, when needed, foreign financial institutions.
• Coordinate opening of bank accounts, KYC/KYB procedures and ongoing banking services.
• Assess banking and compliance risks before international transfers and propose preparatory actions.
• Analyze company and partner transactions for AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, transaction monitoring and sanctions screening.
• Prepare documentation for banks regarding UBO, source of funds, business activity, counterparties and transaction substantiation.
• Respond to bank inquiries on compliance, financial monitoring and correspondent banking.
• Investigate payment suspensions, delays or rejections and suggest practical solutions.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in AML/CFT and FATF standards and evaluate impact on banking relationships.

Required profile

• Higher education in finance, economics, law or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of direct experience in compliance, AML/CFT, KYC/KYB, international payments, correspondent or corporate banking.
• Strong analytical abilities to identify banking risks and propose solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in Armenian; English at B2 level; working knowledge of Russian.
• High responsibility, consistency and attention to detail.
