Quantitative Researcher – Deep Researcher

About the role

WorldQuant is looking for a Deep Researcher to join a fast‑growing quantitative team. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and sourcing specialists to uncover new alpha signals by combining fundamental insight with rigorous data analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute a structured research agenda that blends fundamental knowledge, data exploration, and quantitative modeling.
• Become the domain expert for assigned sectors, identifying the primary information drivers for alpha generation.
• Perform detailed data exploration, enrich both structured and unstructured datasets, and prepare them for quantitative analysis.
• Apply a process‑oriented approach to evaluate and improve the value drivers of each alpha.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of financial research experience.
• Proven ability to extract insights from large, complex datasets.
• Financial knowledge demonstrated by passing CFA Level I or holding an equivalent qualification (MBA, accounting).
• Strong analytical and conceptual skills in finance and investment.
• Excellent written and oral communication in English.

Required skills

• SQL for data manipulation.
• Python programming.
• C and C++ coding.
• Time‑series analysis and modeling.
• Familiarity with Bloomberg, Reuters or similar research platforms.
