Senior PCB Design Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior PCB Design Engineer to lead the creation, layout, and validation of complex printed circuit boards for our next‑generation products. You will collaborate closely with electrical, firmware, and mechanical teams from concept through production, owning the hardware from schematic capture to prototype bring‑up and debug.

Key responsibilities

• Design and layout multi‑layer PCBs (4–16+ layers) for high‑speed digital, mixed‑signal, and power electronics.
• Own schematic capture, component selection, and BOM management while balancing performance, cost, and manufacturability.
• Perform signal‑integrity, power‑integrity, and thermal analyses; run simulations using SI/PI and thermal modeling tools.
• Define and enforce design rules, stack‑ups, and constraints for high‑speed interfaces such as DDR, PCIe, USB, and Ethernet.
• Collaborate with EE, firmware, and mechanical engineers to ensure design intent translates into physical hardware.
• Support DFM/DFT reviews, work directly with fabrication and assembly vendors, and drive prototype bring‑up and hardware debugging.
• Maintain design documentation, revision control, and BOMs throughout the product lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices in PCB design.

Required profile

• 5+ years of professional PCB design and layout experience.
• Strong communication skills and proven ability to work cross‑functionally.
• Hands‑on lab experience with hardware bring‑up, debugging, and validation.

Required skills

• Proficiency with professional PCB tools (Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or similar).
• Deep understanding of signal integrity, power distribution network (PDN) design, and EMI/EMC considerations.
• Experience with impedance‑controlled routing and high‑speed digital design (DDR3/4/5, PCIe, high‑speed serial links).
• Knowledge of RF/analog layout and flex/rigid‑flex PCB design.
• Familiarity with manufacturing processes (DFM/DFA) and working with contract manufacturers.
• Ability to use lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and spectrum analyzers.
