Automation Specialist

About the role

We are looking for a proactive Automation Specialist who can bridge hardware controls and high‑level software to optimise manufacturing infrastructure. The role involves both independent and team‑based work on machine commissioning, automation projects and digital innovation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Research emerging PC‑based control, Industry 4.0 and IoT technologies.
• Analyse, troubleshoot and provide preventive support for automated production lines using industrial IPCs and controllers.
• Prepare detailed technical reports on machine building, commissioning activities and project progress.
• Install, configure, back up and maintain PLC and automation software.
• Perform on‑site installation and configuration of automation hardware, including Industrial PCs, embedded controllers and fieldbus I/O terminals.
• Develop, modify and debug PLC programs using IEC 61131‑3 languages, primarily Structured Text.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Automation, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience in Home/Building Automation, PLC programming and related hardware.
• Fluent in English and Armenian; professional working proficiency in Russian.
• Basic understanding of automation project lifecycles, Agile/Scrum and cybersecurity principles.

Required skills

• TwinCAT 3, EtherCAT, IEC 61131‑3 / Structured Text.
• PLC, IPC, fieldbus I/O, Modbus TCP/RTU, TCP/IP networking.
• Programming in C#, C++ and Python.
• Operating systems: Windows, Windows IoT/Embedded, TwinCAT/BSD.
• Engineering tools: MS Office, EPLAN, AutoCAD Electrical, Wireshark.
