Senior Product Engineer – Calibre DesignEnhancer

About the role

In this position you will operate at the intersection of customers, application engineering, product management and R&D to shape the Calibre DesignEnhancer product. You will work directly with leading semiconductor companies to capture complex physical‑design challenges, translate them into product requirements and guide AI‑enabled flow development. The role combines deep technical involvement in semiconductor design with a strong customer‑facing focus.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as technical expert for Calibre DesignEnhancer and related Calibre physical‑design and verification solutions.
• Engage with semiconductor customers and field Application Engineers to gather requirements, understand workflows and emerging needs.
• Translate customer problems into clear product specifications, use cases and success criteria.
• Collaborate with Calibre R&D throughout concept, prototype, validation and production release.
• Evaluate new capabilities on representative designs, provide detailed feedback and perform root‑cause analysis of complex flow issues.
• Develop expertise in DesignEnhancer use models such as layout optimization, via enhancement, power‑grid enhancement and physical‑verification readiness.
• Support physical‑design and sign‑off flows including place‑and‑route, DRC, power‑integrity, EM/IR analysis and related technologies.
• Identify market trends, competitive solutions and opportunities for new capabilities.

Required profile

• Strong background in semiconductor physical design and verification.
• Ability to discuss detailed implementation or sign‑off problems with design engineers and break them down technically.
• Curiosity to explore whether a specific problem reflects a broader market opportunity.
• Passion for solving difficult technical challenges and influencing product direction.
• Excellent communication skills to work with customers, R&D and product management.
