Senior Scientist – Medical Writing (MD)

About the role

ClinChoice is seeking a Senior Scientist, Medical Writing (MD) to serve as the clinical and scientific subject‑matter expert for pre‑clinical research publications. You will provide strategic oversight, ensure scientific accuracy, and guide manuscripts toward high‑impact journal submission.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary clinical expert for pre‑clinical cardiovascular device publications.
• Prepare, write, and edit systematic literature reviews, including protocol development and data synthesis.
• Conduct data search, screening, extraction, and analysis using established tools.
• Interpret study findings and assess relevance to patient care and future applications.
• Advise teams on cardiovascular disease states, treatment pathways, standards of care, and emerging technologies.
• Support publication strategy for the cardiovascular device portfolio.
• Perform comprehensive scientific and clinical review of manuscript drafts, identifying gaps and ensuring readiness for peer‑reviewed journals.
• Collaborate with medical writers during planning, development, and author meetings.
• Contribute to creation of medical training materials and act as backup medical writer when needed.

Required profile

• MD, DO, MBBS, or equivalent medical degree.
• Board certification or specialty training in a cardiovascular discipline (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of clinical, scientific, or medical writing experience.
• Experience interpreting pre‑clinical, translational, and clinical study data.
• Familiarity with FDA, EU MDR, and global medical device regulatory requirements.
• Background working in a CRO, medical‑device manufacturer, academic research organization, or cardiovascular research center.
