Software Functional Testing Internship (Remote)

About the role

EPAM Lab offers a remote Software Functional Testing internship that lasts 2‑4 months. Interns will work 20‑40 hours per week, gaining hands‑on experience in functional testing, requirement analysis and defect reporting while supporting real projects.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze functional requirements and translate them into test cases.
• Create and maintain test artifacts such as test plans, test scripts and defect reports.
• Execute manual and API tests, log defects and verify fixes.
• Collaborate with developers and QA mentors using Agile practices.
• Explore AI‑assisted testing tools and prompt engineering concepts.

Required profile

• English proficiency of at least B1 level.
• Familiarity with software development and testing life‑cycle, Agile frameworks.
• Solid understanding of functional testing theory and test design techniques.
• Experience (academic or personal) with requirement analysis, test design and defect reporting.
