Sr. Credit & Settlement Risk Manager

About the role

Visa’s CEMEA Credit & Settlement Risk (CSR) team is looking for a senior manager to lead credit risk analysis and collateral management for corporate and financial institution clients across the region. The role combines deep expertise in credit rating models, settlement risk mitigation and cross‑functional partnership to support Visa’s growth initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct credit risk analysis and ongoing monitoring for existing and prospective clients, including institutional research, forecasting and rating assessments.
• Lead due‑diligence meetings with senior client executives to evaluate financial health, strategy and risk profiles.
• Perform sovereign risk analysis and develop expertise in regional banking systems and systemic risks.
• Identify high‑potential institutions for Visa’s growth initiatives and support strategic planning.
• Collaborate with Business Development, Strategy, Licensing, Legal, Treasury and global CSR teams.
• Implement Visa’s Global Credit Settlement Risk Policy and ensure compliance with regional risk objectives and CSR framework.
• Maintain and nurture relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in credit and settlement risk management, preferably within payments or financial services.
• Proven expertise in managing collateral such as cash, SBLCs and guarantees.
• Strong knowledge of credit rating models and their application.
• Ability to interpret and apply Visa systems and risk frameworks.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills for cross‑functional collaboration.
