Chief Accountant

About the role

Egiz Pharmaceuticals Plc Representative Office in Armenia is seeking a Chief Accountant to lead the full accounting cycle of a small local enterprise within a large European pharmaceutical group. You will be the primary contact for the European headquarters and ensure that all financial reporting complies with Armenian law, IFRS and internal policies.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and manage the complete accounting cycle, including general ledger maintenance and month‑end closing.
• Ensure compliance with Armenian accounting, tax, social security and health‑insurance legislation, advising management on regulatory updates.
• Prepare, verify and file statutory financial statements, budgets, revenue and expense reports, and other accounting documentation.
• Oversee cash flow, expense control and asset management, including the company vehicle fleet.
• Maintain financial databases and software systems such as SAP and local accounting tools.
• Coordinate financial documents related to civil and outsourced service agreements.
• Maintain relationships with banks and state authorities to support smooth financial operations.

Required profile

• Higher education in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Armenian accounting legislation and IFRS, with proven experience preparing statutory and management reports.
• Fluent written English.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Hands‑on experience with SAP.
• Familiarity with local accounting software tools.
