Immigration Paralegal (English / Russian)

About the role

The Immigration Paralegal provides bilingual legal support to immigration attorneys and clients on a part‑time, remote basis. Working in English and Russian, the paralegal assists with document preparation, research, and client communication to ensure cases progress smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, organize, and file immigration forms and related legal documents.
• Draft cover letters, supporting statements, and other correspondence.
• Conduct legal and factual research on visa categories and immigration regulations.
• Track deadlines, case progress, and maintain accurate case files.
• Communicate with clients in English and Russian to gather information and verify documentation compliance.

Required profile

• Solid understanding of immigration law, procedures, and visa types.
• Experience working in an immigration law firm or similar legal environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines.
• Comfortable working independently in a remote setting.
• Relevant education in paralegal studies, law, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Reliable availability Monday‑Friday, 8:00 AM – 12:00 PM EST.

Required skills

• Proficiency with standard office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
• Experience using case management tools.
• Familiarity with online immigration filing systems.
