Lead/Principal Front-End Architect (Next.js, React, TypeScript)

About the role

Intetics Inc. is seeking a Lead/Principal Front‑End Architect to shape the front‑end architecture of enterprise commerce solutions. You will work closely with clients and distributed engineering teams to deliver high‑performance, scalable applications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and own front‑end architecture using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Make architectural decisions on rendering strategies (SSR, edge, serverless) and performance optimization (Core Web Vitals, caching, CDN).
• Document decisions in Architecture Decision Records (ADRs) and break down epics into clear user stories.
• Define coding standards, conventions, and workflows optimized for engineers and AI agents.
• Collaborate with clients during discovery sessions and translate business requirements into technical roadmaps.
• Support distributed teams across multiple workstreams and communicate trade‑offs to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Required profile

• 3+ years leading front‑end architecture for distributed teams of 3+ engineers.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills in English.
• Ability to explain technical decisions and risks to non‑technical audiences.

Required skills

• React, Next.js (App Router), React Server Components.
• TypeScript.
• Experience with enterprise commerce platforms (Shopify Plus, Salesforce Commerce Cloud, BigCommerce).
• Performance engineering and Core Web Vitals (LCP, CLS, INP) optimization.
• Caching strategies and CDN configuration.
• Headless CMS (Contentful, Sanity, Contentstack) – nice to have.
• Testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, Playwright.
• Familiarity with AI‑assisted development tools (Cursor, Claude Code) – nice to have.
