National Director – Armenia

About the role

The National Director leads World Vision Armenia, setting strategic direction, overseeing daily operations, ensuring financial sustainability, and representing the organization to donors, government, churches and NGOs.

Key responsibilities

• Provide overall strategic and operational leadership for World Vision Armenia Branch and Foundation.
• Ensure the organization is appropriately structured, financially viable, resourced and compliant with World Vision policies.
• Represent World Vision to donors, project partners, government, church representatives and NGOs.
• Support and actively participate in the World Vision Armenia Board.
• Drive high‑quality programming that improves child well‑being, ensures safeguarding and delivers measurable results.
• Strengthen partnerships and networking with government, donors, NGOs and diaspora networks.
• Lead governance, diversify funding sources and ensure long‑term sustainability of the self‑funded office.
• Maintain strong financial governance, audit compliance and accurate reporting.

Required profile

• 10+ years senior leadership experience with international NGOs in transformational development programming.
• Proven track record of grant acquisition and management.
• Knowledge of the humanitarian sector and donor community.
• Excellent Armenian and English communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
• Experience in program assessment, design, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and report writing.
• Experience in designing and facilitating training programs.
