Principal Statistician – Early Phase (Remote, Europe)

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a Principal Statistician to lead early‑phase statistical activities on a fully remote basis within Europe. You will join the Clinical Solutions team, applying deep biostatistical expertise to support drug development projects from protocol design through to the final clinical study report.

Key responsibilities

• Mentor and train biostatisticians, develop training materials and conduct sessions.
• Direct and review the work of biostatistics staff on assigned projects to ensure high‑quality, timely deliverables.
• Provide statistical support across the project lifecycle, including protocol development, SAP creation, and CSR preparation.
• Lead the statistical aspects of protocols, generate randomization schedules, and contribute to clinical study reports.
• Develop and review programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
• Review SAS/R annotated case report forms, database designs, and related study documentation.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in biostatistics within early‑phase clinical trials.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor statistical teams.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and clinical study documentation.
