Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement division at TUMO sources the goods and services that keep its operations, programs, and construction projects running smoothly. As a Procurement Specialist you will coordinate with contractors, suppliers and internal stakeholders to source materials and services efficiently, ensuring compliance with project requirements and organisational standards.

Key responsibilities

• Identify, evaluate and select suppliers for materials, equipment and services while adhering to procurement regulations and ethical standards.
• Develop and maintain supplier relationships to guarantee reliable supply chains, timely deliveries and issue resolution.
• Collaborate with project managers, legal, finance and internal requesters to align procurement plans with project timelines and budgets.
• Oversee the full tender process, from drafting documents to evaluating bids and negotiating contracts.
• Monitor vendor performance, flag risks and communicate progress or delays to stakeholders.
• Generate accurate reports on procurement activities, cost savings and supplier performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in procurement and managing tender processes.
• Fluent in Armenian, Russian and English.
• Strong understanding of procurement laws, regulations and best practices.
• Knowledge of customs and import procedures is an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the MS Office Suite.
• Experience using Armenian‑based procurement software (preferred).
