QA Engineer - Manual & Automated Testing

About the role

The Vault, a crypto-finance company building an MPC-based crypto custody and wallet platform for institutional and retail users, is looking for a QA Engineer. The role combines manual and automated testing, with a strong emphasis on replacing repetitive manual checks with reliable automation. Candidates must use AI tools in their day-to-day work and help develop the QA processes with the team. The position is fully remote, with the team operating on CET.

Key responsibilities

• Perform manual functional, regression, integration and exploratory testing
• Develop and maintain automated tests for UI and API
• Analyse requirements, surface ambiguities and design test scenarios
• Create and maintain test cases, checklists and test data
• Report defects clearly, verify fixes and track issues through to resolution
• Decide which checks to automate and integrate automated tests into CI/CD
• Collaborate with developers, designers and the product team
• Use AI tools to prepare test scenarios, write tests, analyse failures and speed up routine tasks, while checking the quality of the output

Required profile

• Hands-on experience in manual and automated testing of web applications and APIs
• Solid grasp of testing fundamentals, test design techniques and the software development lifecycle
• Ability to produce clear test documentation and reproducible bug reports
• Confident, regular use of AI tools in QA processes, with critical evaluation of AI output and adherence to confidentiality rules
• Attention to detail, independence and the ability to make reasoned cases for the issues found

Required skills

• Playwright, Cypress, Selenium or similar tools
• Programming skills sufficient to write and maintain automated tests
• DevTools, API clients such as Postman and issue-tracking systems
• Git and an understanding of CI/CD principles
• Nice to have: SQL, log and monitoring tools, and experience with back-office or enterprise applications
