Senior Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Wirestock is scaling its AI‑focused data platform and needs a senior engineer to own the reliability, performance and scalability of its production systems. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering and infrastructure operations, applying SRE rigor to keep the service fast, resilient and available as demand grows.

Key responsibilities

• Define, track and enforce Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs) and error budgets for critical services.
• Lead end‑to‑end incident response, conduct blameless post‑mortems and drive systemic improvements.
• Design and implement a full observability stack (metrics, structured logging, distributed tracing) to give complete visibility into system behavior.
• Automate repetitive tasks to reduce toil and support sustainable on‑call practices.
• Manage and evolve the AWS cloud infrastructure, ensuring security, cost‑efficiency and scalability.
• Participate in architecture reviews, advocating for reliability, fault tolerance and operational simplicity.
• Maintain CI/CD pipeline reliability, deployment safety mechanisms and rollback strategies.
• Write and keep up‑to‑date runbooks, incident playbooks and infrastructure documentation.
• Contribute to capacity planning by analysing usage trends and forecasting needs.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in Site Reliability Engineering, DevOps or Production Engineering.
• Deep knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, load balancing, CDN).
• Proven experience operating large‑scale services on AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, CloudWatch, IAM).
• Strong background in observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog or PagerDuty.
• Solid scripting and automation skills in Python and/or Bash.
• Experience with containerised workloads (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) in production.
