Sr/Principal Statistician (Sponsor-dedicated) – Early Phase

About the role

Syneos Health is seeking a senior‑level statistician to support early‑phase clinical projects across the EMEA region. You will work directly with sponsors and internal teams to ensure high‑quality statistical deliverables throughout the study lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Provide statistical support from protocol development through the Clinical Study Report (CSR).
• Prepare and author Statistical Analysis Plans (SAPs) and create mock‑up displays for tables, listings, and figures.
• Generate randomization schedules, contribute to publications, and input to study reports.
• Coordinate biostatistics and statistical programming staff to meet project timelines.
• Review work produced by other biostatisticians and ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Create and review programming specifications for analysis datasets, tables, listings, and figures.
• Assess SAS‑annotated case report forms, database design, and study documentation to verify data capture aligns with protocol requirements.
• Conduct verification and quality control of statistical deliverables.

Required profile

• Extensive experience in biostatistics for clinical trials, particularly early‑phase studies.
• Proven ability to lead and coordinate statistical teams.
• Strong communication skills for interaction with sponsors and cross‑functional teams.
