Teacher of Chinese, German, Spanish and French

About the role

The National Polytechnic University of Armenia in Yerevan is looking for a Chinese, German, Spanish and French teacher to deliver high-quality language instruction to undergraduate and graduate students in on-site classes. The role is full time and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and teach courses in one or more of the target languages
• Design and update lesson plans and develop instructional materials aligned with the university's academic standards
• Assess student progress through assignments, exams and class participation
• Provide academic support through office hours, tutoring, feedback on student work and guidance on language learning strategies
• Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate on interdisciplinary initiatives
• Take part in departmental meetings, professional development and language-related projects that support internationalization

Required profile

• Strong teaching skills in one or more of the target languages, including experience in teaching, Spanish teaching and tutoring
• Ability to design effective lesson plans and contribute to curriculum development for diverse learners in a technical university setting
• Advanced proficiency (preferably native or near-native) in the language(s) taught, with clear communication in English and/or Armenian
• Bachelor's or master's degree in Chinese, German, Spanish, Applied Linguistics, Education or a related field
• Prior experience teaching in higher education or formal language programs is highly advantageous
