Category Manager

About the role

Yerevan City Supermarkets is seeking experienced Category Managers to lead key product categories within its growing retail network. You will be responsible for shaping assortment, pricing and promotional strategies for beverage, alcoholic, snack and other FMCG categories, directly influencing sales growth and profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute category strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Analyze sales data to identify trends, gaps and growth opportunities.
• Negotiate terms, pricing and promotional activities with local and international suppliers.
• Manage product assortment, pricing, margins and promotional calendars.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including purchasing, marketing and store operations.

Required profile

• Proven experience in category management, purchasing or commercial roles within supermarkets, FMCG, distribution or retail.
• Strong understanding of pricing, margins, promotions, assortment planning and supplier negotiations.
• Ability to analyse performance data and translate insights into actionable plans.
• Fluent in Armenian, Russian and English.
• Professional, responsible, hard‑working and results‑driven attitude.
